Welcome
Welcome to the 1st Cropwell Bishop Scout Group which we are proud to have reopened in November 2009 after an absence of 15 years.  Despite having only been open for a few months, the Group is thriving, with nearly 90 young people, 11 leaders, a strong Executive and lots of adult support! 
 
We provide our young people with a varied programme of indoor and outdoor activities designed to develop them develop, make friends and have loads of fun!
 
We meet at the Memorial Hall, Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop as follows:
 
Beavers - Fridays at 5.30pm until 6.45pm
Cubs - Fridays at 7pm until 8.30pm
Scouts - Thursdays at 7pm until 9pm
Explorers - varied

Taster Camp - details of our first Group camp for Cubs and Scouts taking place from 23rd July to 25th July available here. For those wishing to join us at the camp please also provide a completed consent form available here.

 

Scout Section Summer Programme - now uploaded here.

 

Sainsbury's Active Kids and Tesco School Club vouchers - we have started to collect these vouchers in order to get some much needed sports equipment for the Group. We would be grateful for any you could collect for us. If you do get some please give them to any of the leaders or to Claire McLean who's kindly volunteered to be the main point of contact.

 

St.Georges Day Parade, Sunday 25th April. Please download this document detailing the arrangements for Sunday. Please also note that carparking for family is available in the large Nottingham Forest car park off Scarrington Road (itself off Ladybay Bridge Road). Hats may be adviseable for the parade (but only uniform hats please) and also a bottle of water for your Scout / Cub / Beaver as it may be a warm day. We're all hoping for a great afternoon and lots of funds raised for Wish Upon a Star.

 

Group outing to Hollygate Campsite on Sunday 2nd May - please bring along to the next meeting on Friday 16th April a cheque (no cash please) for £6 for the fee payable to the District for each Cub/Beaver. Dress for the day should be stout shoes, outdoor clothing that it is OK to get muddy, and the neckerchief. Please also bring own packed lunch. Posted 11/04/10.
